8 Hitting Mechanics Faults To Avoid

Here are 8 hitting mechanics faults that are common in youth baseball. When young hitters are taking their swings, coaches and parents should be on the lookout for the following:

  1. Fear
  2. Wrapping the bat (a long swing)
  3. Hand hitch
  4. Long stride
  5. Sweeping the bat (dragging the bat)
  6. Upper cutter
  7. Head pulling
  8. Dead bat (doesn’t get it started quick enough)
